JAYARSON x Jakk Jo – “Mannie Williams” (VIDEO)

New Orleans Rap star on the rise, JAYARSON, teams up with Uptown New Orleans veteran producer KMorGOLD and New Orleans hip hop royalty, Jakk Jo, the Prince son of the Queen of Southern Rap, Mia X. The three team up on KMorGOLD’s tribute instrumental which mixes up sounds of the Big Tymers’ “Get Your Roll On” and the Pharrell track “Frontin”. The video is available on YouTube, with the single available for purchase/streaming on all major digital platforms.

JAYARSON’s nostalgic verse graciously uses “Get Your Roll On” to pay homage to a solid New Orleans classic. Jakk Jo hypes the track with a classic New Orleans chant like “Come On, Come On, Come On”. They team up with Dope Media to create a real picture of daily New Orleans party life. It is a light hearted visual that is really needed at this time!

(HEAT EXCLUSIVE) King EGO, Hollygrove artist on the rise

WARRIOR: A PERSON ENGAGED OR EXPERIENCED IN WARFARE; SOLDIER;

Godsecho is so much more than just a lifestyle brand – it’s a way of life. From its founder’s encouraging and often energy investing words to the influence it has on Godsecho clientele, you just know it’s been heaven sent!

The alluring Ms. Kyley Ringo

Founder Kyley Ringo has a myriad of life experiences that she uses to bring people closer to their maker, if not to help change their mindsets for the better. To say she’s full of positive, contagious energy is an understatement. Let us tell you, this lady is a living testament to how beautiful someone can be inside and out – we all can learn a thing or two from her courage!

We caught up with Ms. Ringo to learn a little more about her vision for Godsecho:

What inspired you to start your company?

KR: What inspired me to start my company was from a vision God gave to me one day after I repented for unknowingly dabbling in the satanic world. In 2015 I had gone through two or three years of trying to “live life without God so much”, per say. At the time, my life wasn’t going exactly the way I wanted it to go and I felt that God wasn’t moving fast enough in my life. So I started to dabble into the “New Age” world of crystals, sage, etc. in order to, in some way “help God out”. I was on YouTube one day and God dropped in my heart to do a search about crystals. I heard so many opinions about healing crystals, crystal energy and smudging, that I wanted to finally put my conscious at ease. So, I said a prayer and asked God to reveal everything that he wanted me to find during my search. I searched crystal healing as God instructed me to and I came upon a couple videos by Steven Bancarz named “Crystals: The Christian perspective” and “Proof the New Age is satanic.” That’s all it took for me! If anyone wants to know the history of New Age and the things that we are not knowledgeable about, please check these videos out! As I listened to these videos I immediately felt the love of God surrounding me and I fell on my face and repented for my lack of knowledge. I threw out maybe $2,000 or more worth of crystals, singing bowls, sage, etc. You name it – I threw it out! Maybe a few days later, God made me realize that something good came out of this entire process. I actually learned how to affirm myself. I had gotten into the routine of reciting affirmations out loud every morning and this actually helped me through my struggles with depression. I believe that it was the same day, I asked God how I can bring this to the world. I thought about it and thought about it and suddenly, God dropped in my heart to start a clothing apparel line and start with t-shirts. As I thought more and more about it, I realized that all t-shirts usually speak about the person who is wearing the shirt. So, God inspired me to create a shirt with affirmations on them to affirm the person who was reading the shirt.

How did you grow Godsecho?

KR: Almost 3 years later on July 2, 2018, I finally took the vision God gave to me seriously and officially became an LLC with a credit card I received the same week after “fixing my own credit” for two years.

Growing up, who influenced you the most?

KR: As a child, my daddy (on purpose) influenced me the most. My daddy owned his own business all of my life, before Hurricane Katrina took it in the flood of 2005. Before then, my daddy would work 12 to 16 hours a day, except for Sundays. My daddy, to this day, is the hardest working man I’ve ever known. He taught me about God, giving, love, hard work, honesty, and most of all, he taught me how to be dreamer or more like a visionary! He has always supported any dream I’ve ever had. He’s always taught me that with God, anything is possible.

How can Godsecho touch the masses?

KR: I believe that my brand will help everyday people because we never know what someone may be going through and God can/will use this as a tool to minister to someone who is suffering in silence. I know that I’ve suffered in silence for years and I can remember being in the lowest place of my life when I tried to kill myself by running my 2003 Ford mustang into a brick wall at full speed in the parking garage in the building I was living. The only thing that stopped me that day was seeing my daddy’s face and not wanting him to hurt because of what I was about to do. Also, hearing the voice of my therapist affirming me that I was smart, beautiful and not alone.

What role does spirituality play in your life and why is it so important?

KR: Spirituality plays a huge role in my life and it always has played an important role. Let me be clear, I am not speaking about religion at all. I am not religious. Religion is when you have to pray a certain way all the time or dress a certain way or do things in a certain manner to please man and not God. God is tired of religion. It is time to get back to praising him and not the person he may or may not be using to deliver his message to his people.

How does Godsecho transcend society’s norms?

KR: Godsecho transcends religion, denominations or walks of life and that’s why God inspired me to create the brand. It’s not only clothing but it’s a movement.

Where do you see the Godsecho brand in 2, 5 and even 10 years?

KR: In two years, I see the brand as a household name in the US. I see people all over wearing my shirts to spread love and encouragement to their fellow brothers and sisters of the human race. In five years, I see the brand being a household name in the U.S. and overseas, and its message being spread as a movement all over the world. I see the world spreading love and kindness everywhere they go. I also see the world having a greater conscious and concern for human life. In 10 years, I see the world not only knowing of God but actually knowing him and feeling worthy of having a relationship with him. I see the brand helping the world to understand that they do not have to know the Bible backwards and forward or have to be perfect for God to hear them.

Where can you be found on social media?

KR: On IG at @wearegodsecho and wearegodsecho on Facebook.

NOTE FROM MIKODREAMZ: It isn’t very often we encounter someone so special with so much to say. Leave your encouraging comments for Ms. Ringo – she has so much positive and enchanting work to do! Can we clone her?!

J Lyric releases controversial new video coming out against Kanye West’s politics

JLyricWakeUp

MIKODreamz PR client and New Orleans artist/activist J Lyric is no stranger to controversy when it comes to marring politics with his music. He’s well-known for his political stance, as can be seen from his Twitter and Instagram posts. His most recent offering is a single entitled “Dear Mr. West”, when he calls out Kanye West on his recent seemingly change of position on politics, particularly his siding with President Donald Trump – something that most who wish to see social change would never do.

The visuals for “Dear Mr. West” clearly demonstrate what was on J Lyric’s heart when he penned the lyrics to the song. It is a most important video in this political climate, amid racial turmoil across the U.S. The single is available for download and streaming on all digital platforms.
